Sactionals Back Pillow Insert: Lovesoft

I purchased the couch a few years ago with straight backs and firm cushions. I always felt they were too straight when laying back to watch a movie. Rather than upgrade to the angled backs, I decided to just upgrade the back cushions to love soft. It got the job done and feels like a new couch! It was more economical than upgrading all of the back pieces, or all cushions at once.

Just received the new back pillows from Lovesac and I can tell you they appear to be way better than the ones I purchased when I bought my couch years ago. They have been redesigned for the better. The lovesac team worked with me to find the right ones (standard vs lovesoft). Both are much firmer than the previous and the lovesoft pillows were perfect for us. Looking forward to many more years with our moonpit.

We purchased a lovesac couch in November 2021 with lovesoft inserts. When we tried out the couch in store, the back pillows were awesome and supportive. However, when we got the couch in early 2022, the back pillows collapsed instantly on sitting and appeared almost half filled. To their credit, when we contacted lovesac, they admitted issues with manufacturing of some batches and sent replacements. However, though these pillows originally seemed better they too quickly become collapsible within a minute of sitting against them and provide no support. For the cost of this couch, it is super disappointing. We don’t have the funds to replace this couch and are always kicking ourselves for the purchase. At this point we are kind of in too deep and will wait it out a few more years. Even more frustrating — we recently ordered a new lovesoft pillow insert as we were reconfiguring the couch and needed an extra. The pillow that arrived is night and day from the originals! It is full and provides support — just like the ones we tried in store when we purchased. So now we know that we received total duds with our original delivery and the replacements that were meant to correct the issue. Please see the pictures and the quality difference is obvious. This is not an issue of wear and tear. We are well past our warranty and really don’t want to spend any more money so I guess we are stuck with our substandard pillows. Hopefully, for those currently purchasing, the recently delivered single insert demonstrates the quality has improved. But for those of us who purchased at the wrong time, it appears we are simply out of luck.

We purchased this sactional for our growing family. Unfortunately, after two years, the cushions are still just as uncomfortable and stiff as the first day. Two of the cushions already have rips in them. We have been into the store multiple times with questions, but they only want to sell more product. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend. Many other couch options that can be machine washed.

We purchased a Lovesac less than 3 years ago. We assumed when buying the premium lovesoft pillow inserts that the quality would show. However, these cushions are the worst cushions we have ever owned. We owned a Crate & Barrel couch for almost 20 years and the pillows held up amazingly. It is unfortunate that these cushions look terrible after sitting on the couch for 5 minutes. We are going to have to replace all of them.

Tried for 3 days to get a hold of ANYONE to talk to but kept getting rerouted to another series of survey questions! So frustrating, you call and all its says is wait time may be more than 30 minutes or more, well that doesn't help, why don't you have a que and tell people how long. OR, better yet, like most other companies let people leave a number and call them back when 'their' turn. Useless, you just wait on hold never knowing if anyone will pick up, in my case no one every did. And then there is the "CHAT", but its not a CHAT, it is a glorified FAQ, a CHAT means you have the chance, eventually, to CHAT with someone. Not the case here, lots of information to fill out and then a dizzying number of useless options that don't help you unless you have the exact issue they're citing. Why do I want to spend 5-10 minutes working through a CHAT only to then be told it cant help me and I should email!!!! And then you email, no one replies (happening to me now) and then you call... no one answers and they say for fasted service, email!! lol Really, didn't work for me. I get it, you're understaffed and extra busy, well congratulations to your success, I don't think you should punish existing customers who need support and btw are also trying to purchase a second couch. time and $$$ better spent with companies that have customer service.

There is no depth to the back cushion, cheap fill material (think of the cheapest pillow with clumpy cotton), and plenty of reviews claiming the back pillows used to be more comfortable prior to 2021. The bigger issue is the back of the couch is short so anyone over 150lbs will feel the back wood structure drill right into your back when leaning back, since the back pillows have no girth. What a shame and disappointment. We just bought this couch and the showroom couch did not have this issue. Obvious cost cutting on the back pillow fill. Still haven’t received it. Ordered back in May. Frustrating.
