Sac Shrink Kit: MovieSac

This makes moving these so much easier. Not the easiest to use. There is a lot of extra plastic material that you have to stuff in before it expands. I think 2 zippers would make it a little easier. I could also see it making it harder to close or easier to open unintentionally. I have 2 sizes so I had to order for both.

I can definitely understand why the reviews are low, but this takes a little time and patience, which my husband has neither of. His entire attitude was there’s no way we are getting that sac in that bag, so if there’s any doubting Debbie’s they should not participate. I’ve shrunk 2 movie sacs and a supersac. The hardest part is shaping it as the air is being sucked out so it can fit in the canvas bag. (our vacuum worked just fine) I would suggest ordering the “super sac kit” for the movie sac insert and the “big one shrink kit” for the supersac insert. This will give you more room to work with - because once all the air is sucked out the vacuum shuts down and you are stuck with what you’ve got, unless you start over, which I’ve had to do twice. You may have to turn the vacuum off, shape a little, turn on, shape…and so on. Also once we put the plastic wrap around the insert we tied that big opening off instead of trying to put the vacuum nozzle through what I call a mess. What we did instead was cut a small slit, put the nozzle in and taped around it to create a seal. Tip: as soon as one end can fit in the bag get it in there and start pressing it down to get the zipper around it. Try to coordinate where the nozzle will be on the closing end of the zipper. This way when the nozzle is pulled out you won’t have far to zip it closed.

Ordered the Sac shrink kit regardless of some of the one star ratings I read, and decide to continue with ther purchase, which I am very happy to say that it worked for me. I shrank it and packed it solo... to easy. No issues here... thanks Love Sac.

I used a quality (festool) shop vac and it made quick work of shrinking the bag down to size. Total time from start to finish was less than five minutes. Can now store the lovesacs in a closet when they are not in use.

The kit is mostly easy to use but Dyson handheld vacuums are not adequate. I got the sac down to about 50% larger than the duffle before the vacuum stopped pumping air out.

One of the most challenging things I have ever done, especially since our shopvac hose had a “clip” at the end that gets caught on the twisted bag when you try to move it around. Did we make it happen? Yes? Did I break a nail? Many. Did we tear the plastic bag, cry, fight with each other (takes two people or more to coordinate vac switch, bag twist, zipper, sac shoving)? Only we will know, but you can too if you decide to be brave enough to get your MovieSac into a bag the size of a beach bag. Other than being a logistical nightmare that requires tremendous strength and the patience of a whole army of saints - it seems well constructed and did indeed shrink my sac.

Overall great, but the bag needs a port for the vacuum. Instructions were very clear.

Need to add a nozzle to the bag to prevent the vacuum from sucking up the plastic and not the air. Very challenging and definitely need two people.

Size of the bag is too small. Very hard to put the sac inside. Regret buying it. Shipping was so slow. Took a month to receive it.
