A step forward and back
The older design of this product was made of real wood (or at least felt like it) while this design feels more synthetic. What I do like about this redesign is the larger felt area for cups and glasses. The felt circle on the original design was quite small for those conscious about condensation on glasses.

Disappointed
I have the original version of these which are much nicer and are real wood vs. this new plastic composite wood look material. Larger felt area on new version nice but, you need to bring back the real wood. We are paying a premium price for the brand and expect premium products.

Functional, but sadly made of plastic
We've had a Lovesac sactional for several years now and absolutely love it. We just bought some additional pieces to rearrange our living room with more seating. In doing so, we also added some more coasters and cupholders. We were very disappointed to discover that the latest versions of the coasters and cupholders are a composite plastic and no longer made of wood, although they are molded with artificial wood grain to give the illusion of wood construction. Unfortunately, they look much cheaper and do not match the original accessories we purchased. In my line of work, I understand the challenges of a global supply chain and availability of different materials from different countries of origin (original accessories were made in China. The new ones are now being manufactured in Vietnam). That said, I am also a firm believer in transparency and being upfront with customers about what they are purchasing.

Bring back the old coasters!
Very disappointing. Do yourself a favor and hunt for an older version on eBay instead. The old lovesac coasters were incredible! Real wood and great look! I tried to order a few more for my couch and had to return them. Honestly just look like cheap plastic… hard to stomach the price for something so disappointing.

Materials have changed - doesnt match original
Why in the world would you change the design and materials of your accessories? We went with Lovesac for the "future-proofing" aspect of being able to replace parts if necessary. Now the "new" accessories don't match the original ones? What a dumb decision.
