As intimated by the clever use of the "ph" instead of the traditional "f," no animals were harmed in the making of LoveSac Phurs....they're fake...but they're real soft. We sought out only the finest faux minks, black bears, beavers, and even kings and eskimos to donate their phake phurs for our collection, all in the name of comfort. All of our phurs are 100% polyester fibers, making them extremely stain resistant and really quite durable....nearly anything will wash out of these phurs, no matter the color.
