About Red Herringsuede
This is no ordinary Microsuede. It is a very lofty suede that has a small herringbone pattern woven directly into the face of the fabric. It might look like a solid from across the room, but up close it actually has a nice but subtle tonal pattern similar to what you would find on only the most dapper of sport coats. This distinctive pattern gives herringsuede a sophisticated and sharp look, made all the more crisp by its backing which eliminates all stretch, resulting in excellent loft and a crisp finish. Herringsuede is thicker than most of the plainer microsuedes which have been overused on furniture of late. However, as with all polyester-based fabrics, the non-porous fibers allow no permanent absorption, making it easy to clean and very stain resistant. It will not disappoint those looking for a high end fabric that is easily maintained.

This red is special because of the layers of texture woven inherently into the Herringsuede fabric. The sueded surface is a true red, but more importantly, the layer beneath has black threads woven into it. The result of this subtle black undertone is a strong, dark red that maintains its hue regardless of the nap or sheen - where without these black undertones, most reds look too pink or too orange. Goes great with tans, blacks, or whites.
