A 5 Series Sactionals Base Piece may be combined in any quantity, with any number of 5 Series Sactionals Sides to build any number of furniture configurations. The Base functions as the seat of any chair, sofa, or sectional. It may also stand alone and function as an ottoman. A Base consists of 3 components, the solid hardwood Base frame, three-layer anti-sag seat cushion, and fiber filled back pillow. The seat cushion and back pillow come packed up inside of the Base frame along with the necessary connecting hardware including 1 "shoe" and 1 "clamp," so that a 5 Series Sactionals Base fits into a small box for easy shipping and delivery. Each 5 Series Base comes upholstered in Khaki and includes a set of washable, changeable covers inside of the box already on the product.
About Velvish Covers:
Velvish is by far the sexiest and richest fabric in the line. With a velvety-soft hand feel, and deep suede-like nap, it is more resilient and stain-proof than traditional velvet, and thicker and loftier than MicroSuede. Made from 100% polyester resin on a woven cotton backing, Velvish is also the toughest of the fabrics on our line. With rub-tests that are many times higher than even the well-wearing MicroSuede, Velvish has absolutely no stretch, resulting in a beautiful, durable fabric that must fit perfectly.
Velvish is thicker and less pliable than some other fabrics, which does affect the “sit” of the furniture it adorns, but it does breathe well, so it is not too stiff for comfort. Velvish has a natural sheen, and a nap. When putting on multiple Sactionals Covers, it is critical to align the nap on each piece, as in certain lights, the direction that the nap lays greatly affects the perceived color of the fabric due to its sheen.
