About Chocolate Velvish Covers

Velvish is by far the sexiest and richest fabric in the line. With a velvety-soft hand feel, and deep suede-like nap, it is more resilient and stain-proof than traditional velvet, and thicker and loftier than Microsuede. Made from 100% polyester resin on a woven cotton backing, Velvish is also the toughest of the fabrics on our line. With rub-tests that are many times higher than even the well-wearing Microsuede, Velvish has absolutely no stretch, resulting in a beautiful, durable fabric that must fit perfectly.

Velvish is thicker and less pliable than some other fabrics, which does affect the "sit" of the furniture it adorns, but it does breathe well, so it is not too stiff for comfort. Velvish has a natural sheen, and a nap. When putting on multiple Sactionals Covers, it is critical to align the nap on each piece, as in certain lights, the direction that the nap lays greatly affects the perceived color of the fabric due to its sheen.
